Turnout Motor (Extended Pin)

A tried and tested versatile turnout motor for use with all Peco turnouts and many other brands too. The motor can be mounted in a number of ways including:

Original method: Cut a motor-sized hole in the baseboard and attach the motor directly to the turnout.

Most popular method: Use PL-9 mounting plates (not included) to attach the motor underneath the baseboard meaning only the pin pokes through the baseboard.

Surface mounted: Use with PL-12 adaptor base (not included) to convert the motor to above baseboard operation.

Whichever method you choose, full instructions are included in the pack to help with installation.

What else is needed to install the motor?
At the very least you will need a 16v AC power supply, some wire and a passing contact switch (Peco's PL-26B switch is ideal). Other accessories that may be useful include a PL-13 accessory switch (for automatically changing the polarity of electro frogs), a PL-27 switch console (to keep multiple Peco switches neat and organised), a PL-35 Capacitor Discharge Unit (to provide enough power if you plan to operate multiple turnouts simultaneously) and finally, a PL-34 wiring harness (specifically designed for use with this motor and connects with no soldering required).
